In 2016/2017  there are 20 teachers at Ceara including Principal.

All teachers at Ceara are registered by the General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland (GTCNI) and recognised to teach in Northern Ireland by the Department for Education (DE).

In addition, and in common with all staff working at Ceara, teachers are subject to the provisions of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups (NI) Order 2007 in that extensive background checks have been carried out to determine their suitability to work with vulnerable children from a Child Protection perspective.

Whilst all teaching staff are ‘general subject teachers’ they have built up a considerable wealth of experience over the years in specific curricular areas i.e. Early Years; Primary; Post Primary etc.

Our Senior Management Team, for example, has over 80 years of experience working in the field of special education.

In addition to their initial degree and teaching qualification as number of staff have post graduate qualifications.
