New school year 2015-2016
1st September 2015
Dear Parents & Friends
A New School Year starts today! Our children are growing up!
A very warm ‘welcome back’ to all those children returning to Ceara and an equally warm welcome to the many children, and their families, who will be starting Ceara later this month. I trust you all had a lovely ‘stress free’ summer.
At the outset I would urge that Ceara is to be seen as an extension to your family. Please contact us should you feel that we might be able to help; contact us if there are issues surrounding your child; or contact us should you just need a chat. Teaching staff may be telephoned between 8.55 and 9.15 and again from 3.00 to 3.45 (subject to staff meetings). You can ring me at any time, or call up to school any time to see me. I will always make myself available to speak with parents.
Keep open communications with school. Your child’s class teacher will only be too happy to have these strong links. Get involved in your child’s Individual Educational Plans (IEPs). We have a Parent/Teacher Night on Thursday 13th November. While many classes will be organising ‘Coffee Mornings’ during September/October.
We do have some very ‘fragile’ children at Ceara. Once again I would ask that sick children should not be sent into school in order to safeguard all our children. Sick children will be sent home.
We have a very informative website that I would recommend to you – www.cearaschool.co.uk
There are loads of information, pictures and important dates on the website. Our monthly newssheet is posted on the website at the start of each month. If you do not have access to a computer a small number of paper copies are made – please let your child’s teacher know if you need a paper copy.
Any matters relating to therapy should be addressed directly with the individual therapist. [ telephone numbers are on this web site on the therapy page in the 'About us' Tab Whilst all transport matters should be directed to Mr. Martin Bratton at the EASR 02837512200
I look forward to a lovely year where we educate your child to the furthest edges of their potential; where we work in partnership with yourselves to achieve your child’s maximum potentials; and where you feel Ceara is an extension to your family.
With very best wishes
Dr. Peter G. Cunningham
